Ted Smithies |
- Ted has had significant senior management experience
and a high level of achievement in a commercial environment
in both strategic and operational roles. This is complemented
by experience in business planning and strategy development,
stakeholder management, change management, negotiation,
and value management facilitation. Ted has held a
number of senior positions in the NSW Department of
Public Works and Services (now Department of Commerce).
From 2000 to 2003, Ted was Group General Manager,
Strategic Procurement Services.
- Ted represented Australia in 1999, as part of the
Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade "Capital
Delegation" at World Trade Organisation (Geneva)
negotiations on Agreement in Government Procurement.
- Ted has held a number of positions of responsibility
within the public sector, including Chair of the Senior
Officer Committee of the NSW Government Procurement
Council (2002-03); Chair of the Construction Policy
Steering Committee (1997-2000); and Chair of the Strategy
Group for the inter-jurisdictional Australian Procurement
and Construction Council (APCC) (1997-2003).
